Biography

Maggie Gama, M.D., is a licensed medical doctor with a life-long passion for health and healing. A highly skilled and compassionate diagnostician and clinical physician, Dr. Gama is an expert in integrative cancer care, preventive medicine, and early disease detection who is uniquely equipped with years of extensive training in the field of pathology and hematology.

Her passion for getting to the root cause of her patient’s health problems stemmed from her own mother being diagnosed with breast cancer when Dr. Gama was at the start of her medical school journey. Initially recommended to have a bilateral mastectomy, her mother sought a second opinion and opted for the more conservative approach of lumpectomy and radiation. She has been cancer-free for over 20 years.

Dr. Gama feels strongly there is a lack of a holistic treatment approach to cancer, autoimmune disease, and all chronic health conditions. Many physicians fail to examine the contributing factors causing or contributing to these diseases, such as toxins, infectious and viral illnesses, stress, and lifestyle choices. Her approach to patient care is very individualized; she takes into account a person’s in-depth history, pathologic diagnosis, genetic attributes, and molecular targets, amongst other factors.

Her mother’s diagnosis and treatment, coupled with decades of patient experience, inspired Dr. Gama’s current approach to patient care: A synergistic methodology that combines the latest in conventional treatments with proven integrative modalities that heal the entire body.

In addition to her training in internal medicine, Dr. Gama completed two fellowships in the pathology field (surgical pathology and hematopathology) and served as Director and Pathologist for many years before returning to direct patient care. She is trained in functional medicine and has received certifications from the Institute of Functional Medicine and the Anti-Aging and Regenerative and Functional Medicine offered by the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.

Her specialized background, education, and in-depth study of the disease process have given her a distinctive edge in diagnosing complex cases. With years of clinical experience, Dr. Gama understands the challenges associated with various health conditions and strives to help all patients restore and maintain a healthier lifestyle.

Dr. Gama seeks to give patients a voice and a choice when it comes to their care and wishes to be a catalyst for change in their wellness and longevity journeys.
